I have read that this book is getting a lot of coverage -even Doctor Phil is doing a show on it...

I heard that about Dr. Phil can't remember where though. sucks because I do not get the channel Dr. Phil is on. I know there is always YouTube. I used to watch Dr. Phil all the time. Wouldn't it be funny to see him interviewing Charlie? I could see Dr. McGraw right now, yelling at Charlie, calling him an enabler. I think if that ever happened, Charlie would have finally met his match with Dr. Phil. LOL

Here is what I saw online :

KRMC dba Cogito Media Group (OTCBB:KRMC.OB.ob - News) is proud to announce that beginning in December, there will be national coverage of our new title Charles Manson Now in major U.S. media reaching a broad and influential multi-million-sized audience. Confirmed media bookings include Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, The Early Show and the nationally-syndicated radio program Mancow. The popular Dr. Phil show is also due to broadcast a TV interview with Charles Manson Now author Marlin Marynick. The reaction to the November 16th article on the website of Psychology Today magazine is a clear indicator that Marynick's book is already generating substantial interest within the medical community and among the general public.

personally- I cant stand doctor Phil. He really put one over on Oprah... He is very good at barking out textbook cliches, and giving the most common sense advice on earth. It is easy to point out in front of a camera, and an approving crowd- what someone is doing wrong....

Not so easy- is doing the unappreciated, behind the scenes hard work it would take to really make a difference...

also- isn't the relationship guru divorced? I can smell a phony a mile away, and I think Charlie could too.. Despite what a jackass he was- Bugs was a smart man- if nothing else positive- he was no idiot- and Charlie caught onto that... I think he would laugh off Doctor Phil's Psychobable pretty quickly...

It sure would make an excellent confrontation though :)

last i knew, Dr. Phil was still hitched. i enjoy how he tells it like it is. he has helped alot of addicts over come their addictions too. i have not one bad thing to say about Dr. Phil.

I like you alot- maybe I am wrong- but I read a lot- and he does have a history of being more money motivated than helping people motivated...

The Making of Dr. Phil is a biography by Sophia Dembling, a reporter from the Dallas Morning News, and Lisa Gutierrez, a reporter from The Kansas City Star.[3] The book probed McGraw's history, with interviews of his childhood friends and former classmates. The book reported that McGraw allegedly used unethical business practices in a gym business early in his career, that he was allegedly abusive to his first wife, and was also allegedly abusive to his staff, while noting that he overcame adversity through setting goals and was persistent in achieving success.

We can agree to disagree about him :)

i have not watched him in years. we do not have cable so we dont get CBS. i used to watch him when he first started off. he did alot of good things for drug addicts as far as helping them get clean and all. yes we can agree to disagree, but remember I am always right! ; )

In the psychology today article, I believe they were just saying that Charlie was a good profiler due to the way he grew up himself.
