In the Laurel Canyon book, the author interviews an anonymous eligible Hollywood bachelor who said that Sharon was so beautiful it almost hurt to look at her. And all the men knew she was out of bounds...Perhaps she was intimidated by the effect she had on men and it was "safer" for her to marry a little troll (?)

I re-read that book after you did your awesome report- very good read indeed!!
It is the source of my belief that some of the victims may have been running in the same circles of some of the family members..
Aside from what we knew was going in the Haight- it must have been a very good place to be during those times...
