Thanks to MrStormsurge and Stacey for the heads ups.

Sharon Tate Jewelry for sale from grisly murder.

Murdered actress Sharon Tate's engagement ring - the one she was said to be wearing when she was stabbed to death by the Manson Family can now be yours, TMZ has learned. If you're willing to drop at least $10,000.

According to the auction house hocking the ring,Tate's husband director Roman Polanski removed it from her finger when he was identifying her body at the morgue. He proposed to her with it in 1967.

For those who forget -- Sharon and her unborn child were brutally murdered in 1969 by followers of Charles Manson Police were unable to determine a motive.

The ring hits the auction block on November 30th at GottaHaveRockandRoll.com along with a ton of other Hollywood and music memorabilia.

UPDATE: There are multiple stories that it was Roman Polanski's agent William Tennant and not Roman himself who identified Tate's body at the morgue. Roman was not in the country at the time.

Eviliz typed "Sharon Tate" in TMZ's searchbox - and found this also dated 11/22/11:

Sharon Tate's sister Debra "She was not wearing ring when murdered.

Sharon Tate "engagement ring" hitting the auction block next week was NOT taken off the actresses' dead hand after she was murdered because she was NOT wearing any rings at the time of her death, this according to Sharon's sister Debra.

Debra tells TMZ the ring featured in an upcoming auction on GottaHaveRockndRoll.com DID belong to the actress but she gave it away to a family friend long before she was killed by the Manson family in 1969.

Debra tells us the ring was not an "official" engagement ring but rather an "unofficial symbol of her relationship" with Roman Polanski. Debra says, "The ring was not Sharon's style and she never wore it." Debra says Polanski later gave Sharon an "official" engagement ring - a gold and diamond band "which she treasured."

Despite the auction house's claim, Debra is adamant Sharon was NOT wearing ANY rings on her finger at the time of her death adding, "Because Sharon was pregnant, she couldn't fit any rings on her finger."

Sharon was two weeks away from her due date when she was murdered. So far, no comment from the auction site.

if sharon was wearing this ring, and i don't think she was was the time of her murder, you could surmise that the the missing jewels were knocked out in her struggle to save her life.

if you read the second part, Debra says Sharon was not wearing that ring when she died.

A few months ago when Sharon's wedding dress was stolen I was watching the news(well, Good Day LA, which is more like morning gossip)and one of the anchors said she was friends with Debra and how upset Debra was about the dress being stolen. She went on to say that for some reason Sharon is one of the celebrities that people claim to have items that belonged to but don't. She even mentioned an auction house that was selling a wedding band and Debra called them and told them it wasn't real. Kind of sad that people try to pass things off for Sharon's.

According to Helter Skelter, there was some jewelery removed from Sharon's body after her murder. A pair of earrings as well as a yellow metal, gold I would say, band. She was photographed many times around Cielo those last few days and her ring was visible. Also, in one of the autopsy shots, the tan line from her removed wedding band is visible.

I dont know if you will see this. It's been years since you posted. But Sharon's wedding dress is for auction HLN is reporting. I wonder who's selling it since it was apparently stolen?
