The trip began in a bus and ended in a bus.

Thanks to Miss Tone for the links.  She rocks!

The Family had a variety of buses during their travels. The last bus they ever had can be viewed at the 2 links above.  Many people have asked about the buses over the years.  The bus shown at the two above sites met its demise.  In 1974 tired of tourists coming to see the bus it was cut  up into pieces and buried over 60 feet deep in the earth.

Escapin' through the lily fields
I came across an empty space
It trembled and exploded
Left a bus stop in its place
The bus came by and I got on
That's when it all began
There was cowboy Neal
At the wheel
Of a bus to never-ever land

He had to die, you know he had to die...

Portrait of Neal on my left ribcage.

Zane Kesey has remade the bus and they are taking it to Further shows in Oregon and holding after parties...

quite interesting that in the Pacific Northwest they are seeming to be reliving the glory days as we speak...

Happy Labor Day to all- hope you had a fantastic summer

Emmett Harder parked the bus here at his gold claim. This is not the family bus.

C'mon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
On a blue bus
The blue bus is callin' us
The blue bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taken' us

There's a suitcase pokin' me in the ribs.
There's an elbow in my ear.
There's a smelly old bum standin' next to me.
Hasn't showered in a year.
Well, I think I'm missin' a contact lens.
I think my wallet's gone.
And I think this bus is stoppin' again,
To let a couple more freaks get on.
And another comes on,
And another comes on.
Another one rides the bus-ah.

Every day I get in the queue
To get on the bus that takes me to you
I'm so nervous, I just sit and smile
Your house is only another mile

Thank you, driver, for getting me here
You'll be an inspector, have no fear
I don't want to cause no fuss
But can I buy your Magic Bus?

Hi! the buses on these two links are not the same as the one the family left at Barker Ranch, same make (early 50s Chevy) but different model. Just look at the belt line on this photo and compare
