Mass murderer Charles Manson, who was hospitalized this week with a serious medical issue, has been returned to the Central Valley prison where he is serving his life sentence, a corrections official confirmed Friday.

The Times reported this week that Manson, 82, had been taken to a hospital for treatment of an undisclosed but serious medical problem. Officials with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation have declined to comment on Manson’s condition, citing federal and state privacy laws.

But Terry Thornton, a spokeswoman for the department, confirmed Friday that Manson was back behind bars.

"Inmate Manson is at California State Prison-Corcoran,” she said in an email, declining to elaborate in a follow-up phone call: "He is at the prison. I don't know how much plainer it can be."

Thanks prefeteria

You two are an item?

We have to think of a couple name for you two, like "Brangelina".

How about "Poner Van Patten"?

Grim I too loved Georgy Girl when I was a kid. I found a thread where people were trying to guess what the opening instrument was and quite a few people guessed it was whistling and some sort of keyboard, which sounds right to me. I would say definitely whistling and maybe a harpsichord or some sort of electric keyboard that can produce stacatto notes.

I picked up on a lot of music that my parents used to play and also my two sisters. All that stuff from the 60s and 70s, I still love and listen to now.
I find it quite rare, people that genuinely go on to dislike the music that they grew up listening to, even if they don't actually go out of their way to play it or even own it.

I wondered for a while if it was some prototype or early version of the synthesizer but the Monkees were among the first on record with a synth on the atrocious "Daily Nightly," the cool "Love is only sleeping" and the brilliant "Star Collector" while the Doors did likewise with "Strange days" {the LP cover is one of my faves}, all of which came after "Georgy."

Each and every article, mass or seriel killer. No one knows tex Watson

Yeah said Matthew Roberts, his son rushed to hospital. Number one not his son, and he was in New York. I think they wanted to pretend he wasn't there, as they said Manson supporters were going to run down and break him out. Then the woman who said her husband was his roommate. Sure semi private room, she was delirious. Rumors every half hour.

Radar online way off. First Matthew Roberts not his son. He was in New York as I stated before. And afton, aka star no longer his fiance. He new boyfriend from Malibu. She left Manson some time ago. He made phone calls asking if some one saw her. Also he stated that he was missing large sum of money, either from when she collected for his defense fund. Or her stars art. And he had no intention to marry her in the first place.

Matt, that was hysterical

Yes Matt, that the people in the place said that's Steve Grogan, and a virtual stranger goes and strikes up a conversation. I have a hard time with that.

Correct gentlemen !
According to the lead singer Judith Durham, it was a professional whistler that producer Tom Springfield brought in to whistle the part.
