Bummer Bob

I was thinking a little about Bobby today.  You know I love me some Bobby.    I just thought about this as I was looking at pics of him-
I wonder why he never "X'ed" himself from this world?
I know he never claimed to be part of the Family but still.
No "X" on the forehead.  And another thing I didn't know about Bobby, he personally requested to be transferred out of the CA prison system because he thought he would have a better shot at parole in OR.  So much for that theory.  What a Bummer for Bob.

  2. He has the unescapable stigma that he alone created as being Charlie's first assassin which led to TLB. Since then he has attempted to create the image that he was not part of CHARLIE'S Family at all. Yet he never succeeded in repudiating that he started the whole TLB murder spree by attempting to rob and then senselessly murder a guy who had no money.
He foolishly stayed with his worship of Satan(satanic tattoos) while at the same time claiming he was a reformed and responsible citizen. Bobbie started it all. Bobbie may be the craziest of the lot. He invented writing blood on the wall depravities where blame was directed onto 3rd world ethnicities for ideological purposes that benefited 1st world ethnicities.

  3. watson also never x'ed himself either. i think watson and beausoleil knew the minute after their last murder they were screwed and it would have never happened without manson's influence. the women were much more brainwashed and their was also a romantic element to the women's love of manson, which i think played a large role in why the women believed in manson so much.

  4. dabstcscoLiz I wondered why he pursued Satanism. I heard he recently became Christian. I don't regard Satanism as of a sound mind. He drew Satanic art which is still on his website which you posted recently. Why bother to be transferred to Oregon while still drawing devils? Why try and scare the parole board? Would you vote to release as murderer who draws devils

  5. Remember, the X's didn't happen until after everybody was in jail. Bobby & Tex were busy trying NOT to be part of the circus that was the Manson trial.

  7. Bobby was/is a self serving Jackass who has never once just been himself.. He tried to fit in with the older guys ( Aurthur Lee's band) when he was a teenager- tried to a stand out in the Haight with the top hat and white dog ( he claims on his site everyone know him this way- so it must have been his intention to be noticed) then when he got to Spahn it was Charlie he had to show off for.. ultimately -then the Bikers....

Now in Jail he is trying to reinvent himself again...

But as loud and often he screams he was never part of the family- and no matter how many times on his website he says he barely knew them- and just went there occasionally on weekends..

He has to face one truth...

Bobby committed the first of the murders, and in his presence were the original girl in the family, and the most infamous girl in the family- they were joined by Charlie himself during the commission of the crime...

So how much distance can he put between himself and the family? Some of the biggest players in the family were involved in his crime...

He has no problem dropping names on his site as far as musicians to associate himself with fame..

But he is adamant he should not be associated with people he slept with, played music and partied with, and took a life with...

When you try to focus people on the positives in your life, and expect them to distance you from all the negatives- Your being self serving :)

I threw in the Jackass part myself

Shame of it is- he probably isn't a danger to anyone, and he comes across today as the most reasonable of them- but he stills throws those " I barely knew them" lines around, and sticks to his cocky sexy persona- and that is never going to get him out...

    Probably nothing would...

But If I were on the parole board, and he came in and said you know I was a really mixed up kid, and I wanted to impress them, and it was so stupid and I wasted my life, and what an idiot I was. There were drugs and girls, and it was all so easy, and I was so young, and really didn't have anywhere else to go... maybe actually shed a tear for Gary somewhere in there.. with his accomplishments in prison, and with his parole options- I would have to think twice....

But his blaming the system, and pretending he was not a part of anything makes it kinda easy in my opinion...

You live in denial- you keep getting denials..

  9. Bobby's only hope for seperation from Manson and possible release, was in the days/weeks and months following Tate/LaBianca. Had he come forward in those early days prior to the capture of Manson and the others and said, "Hey I think I know who did this".
History would have shed a very different light on "Bummer Bob".
    Instead he chose silence........
For that silence he will forever be seen for what he is, a henchman of Charles Manson.
He blew his only chance at any redemption.
Bobby may not have carved an X into his forhead for the world to see his distain for society.....he didn't have to.......when he called Gary Hinman a pig as he lay dying......then bragged about his cowardly actions.......he was X'd from our society forever.
From now on the only X Bobby needs is the X that goes in the box marked, DENIED, on his parole application.
