Does anyone know if Patricia Krenwinkel and Leslie Van Houten have remained on good terms in these 4 decades of incarceration at CIW? Does anyone know if they have ever been cellmates? Giving their age, I would have to assume they are in the same area of the prison and see each other daily.
They are friends... I read The long strange Prison journey of LULU- and they stayed friends- Pat became a more hard core Lesbo- so she has had a couple LTR's - but they have always been friendly...
Sadie was not on the greatest of terms with the other two- but that got warmer over the years as well...
but LULU and PAT were much closer according to what I have read..
That is a very good question- who could understand more what they lost and how much they have missed- than each other...
The aging, the time, the life they both watched pass them by- and they did it together...
If it wasn't so sad it would almost be romantic in a way- what two people could possible be closer and have shared more ( yet have had less at the same time) than these two...

I can't believe they froze Susan out for all those years. Does anyone know of any comments any Family member made on Susan's death? Did they forgive her even then? It must have been double rough on her having them pull that unity stuff and then turn on her when the cameras were gone. No wonder she went mad and imagined Jesus into her room. It didn't take long either. She really had no centre at all, nothing to come back to.
