Teacher Gets New Trial to Defend Class Materials

A federal judge has vacated a $325,000 award to a student who took issue with her high school history teacher's unorthodox methods, which included showing gruesome photos of women murdered by Charles Manson.

"In short, plaintiff has shown that defendant Smith made pedagogical choices that some, and perhaps most, teachers would not have made...At worst, Defendant Smith's conduct would support a finding that he was careless."

  1. I think showing students pics of the victims is the least of this guy's worries. He sounds like a creep.

  2. So they're all out to lunch here. Why object to only photographs or murdered women. Men were murdered too. Or did the teacher only shop pictures of the murdered women? And if so, what's up with being dsmembered. Must be the Black Dahlia for sure.
