Sue Bartell

Sue Bartell was arrested in the Barker Ranch raid.
She was also present in the Venice residence when
John Phillip Haught (Zero) "committed suicide".

This is her seen on the left outside the Hall of Justice in 1970.

Thank you, Melc!

  6. Yuck. Very interesting find. I just have a particular dislike for this woman. One of the worst from a not so nice group.

    Why, Barrie? Just curious...

  8. Patty has always felt that Zero's death was kinky shit gone wrong: "cum to NOW" like Sadie used to blab about.

  9. Patty, kinky shit gone wrong to me is one or both of you falling off of the park statue & breaking a bone. Blood & brains on the wall is a whole new level.

  10. She still looks nasty and evil.

  11. Patty thinks she looks nice. Our friend Brian Davis will tell us otherwise though...LOL

  12. Hi Matt.
When Ed Sanders talked to Sue about Zero's death. Sue replied that Danny DeCarlo wasn't at "the murder, I mean (pause) or whatever it was"
In Sanders and Bug's book Sue Bartell is mentioned as the person that calls and threatens the lawyers during trials.
She joined up with Manson gang when they were living in Canoga Park. That's when things had started to turn all creepy crawl.
Even Onjya Sipe's book describes her as 'reminded me of an evil rattlesnake"
The movie footage I've seen of her creeps me out.
I suspect her involvement in murders. I have no proof of that, of course.

  13. How is it that this "nice looking" witch was ever a free woman at all given her involvement with the John Philip Haught shooting which would in all likelihood have been prosecuted as a murder in current times? Also, will the vicious Haught, Habe, Gaul and Sharp murders be brought to Governor Brown 's attention during the parole recommendation review for Briuce Davis?

  14. Did country sue shave her head? In MANSON Lyn talks about the vest and starts off by saying "Sue's hair is on, my hair is on it, Leslieies sadies katies is on it? Also is that Sue sitting there in that scene with Lyn while she is telling this?

  15. I always wondered how they'd react if someone stuck in knife in one of these chicks and said "there, I just reflected you back at yourself".....

  16. Last year Jerry Brown spent a day at the L.A. District Attorney's office. This was the last say before he had to make his decision about Davis. I'm sure he saw enough photo's and read enough about Davis' probable crimes to make his decision a no on parole. I have a set of the Gaul/Sharp murder scene and autopsy photo's in storage. They are extremely disturbing, unbelievable violence and tons of blood. These photo's make the Tate/LaBianca murder scene/autopsy photo's look like a walk in the park. I'm sure Brown saw them as well.

  17. She went to my alma mater (Canoga Park High School). She strikes me as the silent type who sees much while saying little. Those types usually have the best stories to tell. She never will, of course.

Any idea what she's up to with her life?

  18. I've wondered for years whether the old pictures of Sue showed a dark tan or a naturally dark complection. Her skin appears light in the recent photo so, I guess she used to have a tan.

  19. Orwhut, maybe that was dirt.
    (I kid, I kid)

  20. Charlie,
Dirt should have come off when she had a bath in the creek. Maybe I should go back and study the bath scene in Robert's movie. It would be strictly for research purposes, you understand.

  25. Hi, crazy find here for me. I was a friend of Sue Bartel's in high school and she invited me to "The Ranch" to listen to Charlie read The Profit. I did not go. She tried to borrow my driver's license once as well during that time period but I told her no. Thank goodness!

  26. I don't know if this is going to post, I have tried three times now. I have never done this before, but I was a friend of Sue's in high school. She invited me to listen to Charlie read "The Profit" once at the ranch. I did not go. She also asked me to borrow my driver's license during that time period, but I didn't let her. Thank goodness!

  27. Wow, I just happened to find this site or blog or whatever you call it. I have never posted anything anywhere before, but Sue Bartel was a friend of mine in high school, part of the group I hung around with. I worked in a Record Department at the Broadway (remember that old store and a "Record Department" not less" at the end of high school and she invited me to
