Bill Nelson disrespects Mrs. Tate

This video is old, I know, but it is informative, if not extremely uncomfortable to watch. Bill Nelson, as you all know was a Tate/LaBianca researcher/stalker/extreme creep. How he was able to get the wonderful Mrs. Tate to answer some of his ridiculous questions is beyond me. This man should of been ashamed of himself asking her such things, and going into detail after detail about her daughter's horrible murder. It was so unnecessary, and I do believe he was doing it on purpose to try to make her start crying on film. This man, while alive needed a few dozen lashes with a bullwhip, preferably administered by Col. Tate! This interview was broken up in sections, and the embed feature is disabled, so I made links. Sorry about the inconvenience. The first part of the interview starts at 6:54.

  5. Worth getting.

The guy was a POS but he did do some good work. There's some good info in his books although they are horribly written, etc., etc., etc....

  8. To get back on topic for the thread, I have heard all about Bill Nelson, but have never seen him 'in action'. He seemed to have an unfortunate smirk on his face during the interview. It became truly cringeworthy when he told Doris Tate how well Tex knew the inside of the Cielo house - don't spare the woman's feelings, Bill.

Then he went on to remind her that her younger daughter Debra could have been killed that night too!!

Does anyone know if Doris Tate ditched BN when she found out about his paedo past?

I imagine he would be a very difficult person to get shot of.

  9. She didn't live to find out about his past, but I think she did finally shy away from him at some point.

  10. Yes! But, I have seen many interviews by Barbra Walters and other 'professionals' and they do the same thing and the person/s being interviewed would cry or become emotional.

BW's questions- when she was at her peak on TV -were very blunt and in my view distasteful.
I knew what she was doing and why-it was to get an emotional response as more people would watch. They would and still do show terse previews on TV of the person/s crying or with tears in their eyes answering a question then cut it off in order for you to say hey, I want to find out why all this emotion and why, etc.
It is a form of journalism that knows when someone gets emotional or cries more viewers will watch.
BN didn't have a trademark on journalists that do such things for 'ratings.' Sex sells, yes, but so does emotion!
