KEEPING MANSON BEHIND BARS

This was sent to me by Robert Hendrickson before he passed away. It's from the Los Angeles Times Magazine, May 14, 1989.

This is what his note to me said:
MATT:

Here's some stuff:

Don't remember you doing any Stephen Kay thing. He deserves some PRESS - after HE did so much.

Robert

  1. Good old Robert is still contributing. HIS use of capitals in the note brings back memories.

  2. Robert's ambiguous comments are sometimes fascinating....that being said, the posted scan is incomplete. The full text without pictures can be read here: http://articles.latimes.com/1989-05-14/magazine/tm-13_1_stephen-kay-sharon-tate-parole

  3. Didnt Stephen Kay date one of the family members for a little while?

On the last page of the posted article it says that when Kay was 15 years old he had a chaperoned lunch date with 14 year old Sandra Good at a pancake house in Burbank. The "date" was set up by Kay's godmother.

  5. I guess now there's something I can reveal (don't get mad, Robert).

RH confided in me that at the final night of screenings at The Silent Theatre in 2013 his old friend Mark Ross showed up. He sat quietly until the end before approaching Robert. They did some catching up.

Thank you for reading the blog, Mark!

  7. Mark Ross: no Mark Ross, no RH connection to the Family and no documentary (and no credit card to buy a plane ticket).

This made me miss Mr. Hendrickson. Thanks Matt

  8. Mark Ross if you're out there let us know. We don't want to know where you are or what you are doing we just want to know about your time with the Family.
