  3. All those people standing around the cop car as they load Tex in. Wonder if they knew they were in the presence of one evil character. Seeing him smiling as he leaves court....just want to punch him in the face. Doesn't look like the zombie he'd shortly become once back in Los Angeles.

  4. I doubt Watson realized that was never going to walk on Texas soil ever again, that is unless his parents brought some when visiting him in prison.

  5. Hopefully Sartuche and Guiterrez helped him slip and fall a few times, accidentally hit his head getting in the squad car and possibly gave him the nightstick on top of the LA phone book beating lol

  6. I grew up in DFW & as a consequence grew up watching WFAA...so beyond the rare Tex footage, it's interesting for me to see these slices of life from that specific place & time preserved in this archival footage. It also makes me wonder how many 60-70 year olds in McKinney remember crowding around the police car to see Tex Watson carted off.

    1. A lot of that crowd looked like young women. Tex had groupies.

  7. Check out the girl at 7:07 trying to hand the Butcher Of Copeville some flowers. The smiling stewardess from 8:08-8:25 doesn't seem that worried about him either. God, that smug smirk on his face !
I notice they flew him back to Los Angeles on American Airlines. I guess his Braniff employee discount was no good by then.
