Thanks, William Marshall!

  1. Thanks for this! Interesting. Sharon never looked more beautiful than in EYE OF THE DEVIL. I've seen/heard most of this before, except for the part with Sheilah Wells (at least I think it was Sheilah).

  2. There is mentioned an interview with Tate where she talks about her ghost experience. Does anyone know if that's something available online? Thanks. Very interesting.

  3. We must find the truth! Look up the cult called "The " I just found out my friend is now a doppleganger. She dropped dead a month ago!

  4. Another macabre "theory" of hollywood. About playing music backwards, i think it's nonsense. People can hear what they want to hear in it, IMO. Satanism, ghosts or premonition - who knows..."There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy".

It seems Sharon was very interested in spirituality. I read in an interview with Christopher Jones that she said something about the devil being beautiful.

A little off topic now: about premonition, the Manson case, and LA. Did you guys ever heard the song "Not to touch the earth" of the Doors? It's from 68, and it has a scary beat, but listen to the lyrics. It may be foolish, but there are some parts that could be related to the Manson murders. Like if Morrison could "channel" something. And another coincidence: The Doors were the Whisky a Go-Go house band, the place Sharon and Sebring met the first time at a party. Small LA.

    "House upon the hill
    Moon is lying still
    Shadows of the trees
    Witnessing the wild breeze
    C'mon baby run with me
    Let's run
    . . .
The mansion is warm, at the top of the hill
Rich are the rooms and the comforts there
Red are the arms of luxuriant chairs
And you won't know a thing till you get inside
    . . .
Some outlaws lived by the side of a lake
The minister's daughter's in love with the snake
Who lives in a well by the side of the road
Wake up, girl, we're almost home..."

  5. Hi Chris, that song has also reminded me of the same thing.

  6. Sorry but I thought the content was very poor quality- it seemed garbled without rhyme or reason. IN one part - two successive scenes contradict each other. I have seen it listed on you tube but have never watched it until now.

  7. Hi Mr.H, yes isn't? specially the last part. The minister's daughter would be Ouisch, and the outlaws lived by a creek but you get the point.
Of course it could mean anything but it just reminded me of the case too. And that beat add to the atmosphere.

  8. Yes Chris, I hadn't thought about the minister's daughter and living by the creek, just more generally about the house on the hill and the mood of it. The Doors music's atmosphere and mood really evokes that place and time so much for me, so makes me think of the Manson family and Tate, etc.

  9. YES folks and Oliver Stone intentionally put subliminal images of Manson in his "Doors" movie. There was an actor made-up and dressed like Manson for certain crowd scenes. He even put a quick clip of the real Manson in his movie. Of course Morrison lived right in Laural Canyon WHERE Manson knew several music types. Jim was very intelligent and even into some stuff, at the time, most would be considered bizarre.

  10. Was that clip of Minnie and Roman Castevet from Rosemary's Baby? I don't remember that scene.

  11. Deanna, i don't remember that scene either.
Was Anton LaVey an actor besides being a satanist? I mean, he appears here in three different films...Ok they were films about the occult but was he invited only because of his "knowledge" or was he that involved with so important hollywood people? Or a good actor? hahaha

  12. Is it true that Jay Sebring styled Jim Morrison's hair for the infamous "lion" portrait cover on Rolling Stone magazine?

  13. Yes, i suppose so. I think i read about that in some Jim's bios. I also remember reading that when he went to the famous hairstylist Jay Sebring, Jay asked him what he wanted his hair to look like. Morrison pulled out a picture of a statue of Alexander the Great (who had a superb ancient-age hair).

  14. Chris I started thinking what a crazy story you would get out of Jim Morrison spending some time with the Manson family. I could see him loving hanging out with them at least for a while.

  15. Oh yes Mr. Humphrat, i think he would love to visit them, their lifestyle...He liked to "brake on through to other side" ;)
He could even chat with Squeaky about their friend in common, doors manager and one time Lynn boyfriend Bill Siddons.
