Charles Manson - Walking Through Forever (Ode to Red)I know that you are doing wellI’m glad to see that you got out of the holeI hear through a gig that you gotWays of getting vegetables and foodWhere you’re atEverybody here seems to be stuck on fleshFlesh eatersSo, I don’t know whether I’ll be ableTo get this tape to youBut I’m just sitting here thinking about you all, anywayCause, there ain’t nothing else to doAnd anywhere I go, I know I’m youAnd I keep turning back and forwards into myselfAnd every day I keep on growingAnd my love for you I keep on sayingI know your love for me will keep on weighingJudgment of a judgment of a judgmentThat you thought was up aboveYou remember that line, Love?I was walking in the darknessI was dreaming in my nightUp on the highway with the KingsAnd down through the fightI was in the icepick’s cornersAnd all those places you could seeIn your mindFrom war’s door, I’ve always beenMastermind’s what I’m thinking ofDown through one’s are the sum of none’sThat keep my words up on the wallAnd I keep on walking in my foreverAnd I keep living in my dreamsI see you, RedOh, Red, how you doing, Red?You better not get too fat, girlI know you gave up a little bitAnd you kind of ate a little bit too muchBut I was Blue’s foolLone bees jumping on school’s rule booksLike, how you doing, kid?You know they kept it where they kept it hidI keep on with my forevers in my forever’s dreamAnd in knowing one’s all is always in the one it seemsBack through my eye’s foreverBroken, laying there on the floorSon was wishing for wishing wellsAnd wishing wells were silver, tooThe silver wells of something that smellsThat fell down to Hell with youAnd you keep on walking in my foreverAnd living in my dreamsLet me take mine back and give it to youMy, my word is only my wordAnd my word has always been true to you

My apologies for being off topic but, I'm a little bit confused. Can someone tell me, at exactly what time the world is going to end tomorrow?
Finally; an ‘Ode’ to a woman has been written, which represents her true core and eternal soul.
I got chills at knowing she has “ways of getting vegetables and food”. Both, vegetables AND food.
Could there be more? In the next stanza he proclaims “I’m just sitting here thinking about you…” That’s devotion to be sure. He then closes the thought with:
“Cause, there ain’t nothing else to do.” Simply beautiful, no wonder he has such a loyal following.
Certainly couldn’t compare to this sort of tripe:
My Pledge of Love
What sort of abomination was that? Where was the mention of vegetables or weight gain? Would it have killed Mr. Jeffrey to have included a tuber or legume as part of his faux proclamation of affection towards a woman? What self respecting lady wants to hear a ballad, which has been denuded of the very mention of how she seeks and finds food?
Then there’s this amateurish and hackneyed attempt at love laced art:
Twilight Time
Was that even in English? “Here, in the afterglow of day, we keep our rendezvous beneath the Blue?”
No mention of her getting fat or eating too much, just some sort of feaky code-speak, which twins might understand or those who are fluent in Esperanto.
It’s patently clear where the lyrical and musical genius resides. These other groups are nothing more than posers. Now those haunting lyrics will be stuck in my head all day:
“You better not get too fat, girl.
I know you gave up a little bit,
And you kind of ate a little bit too much.
But I was Blue’s fool.”
When was this written? I assume not too too long ago with the line about getting out of the hole.
"I keep on with my forevers in my forever’s dream And in knowing one’s all is always in the one it seems Back through my eye’s forever Broken, laying there on the floor"
I think I first heard this song around 2003, 2004. It has always stuck out me as far as Manson's best tune.
Yeah farf the lyrics written down like a poem are not very impressive. But the way he puts it together is kinda catchy. Patty has to say that this is one of her favorite Manson songs. Up there with "Don't do anything illegal."
Patty wonders if Red were allowed to visit Charlie: would she move back to Cali, or is she just "over it" now?
Hi Patty!
Same here. Doesnt she have a boyfriend?
@Lauren: Thats the word, but she's been so quiet and that was some time ago. Patty only recently learned that Sandy and George split up...
" Patty only recently learned that Sandy and George split up..."
Will have to keep an eye out on Match.com for Sandy :-)
to Lauren re read the lyrics he is singing to RED I’m glad to see that you got out of the hole LYn had hit someone with a hammer this must be what he reffered to not CM current hole trip:X
The mention of the Kings...in an interview I saw with Manson, he briefly mentioned something about an altercation with some kind of gang and I am sure Kings was mentioned too. It was o do with Tex. About how Charlie had rescued him or something. But then he clammed up, and said something like "I know stuff you dont know"
I wonder who the Kings are...
Yes, a highway and a fight...he said that..
Yes, a highway and a fight...he said that..
Lynn hit a croatian plane hijacker on the head - her name was Julienne Busic. Patty'd love to have been a fly on the wall...
Candy and nuts.. I know he is singing about Red.. I'm wondering WHEN was this written.
Fiona
Could it have been the Latin Kings?
