More Little Paul and Tecopa

Patty thought she'd squeeze one more post out of the cool photos that "Friend of the Blog" sent in. His notes read as follows:

Patty supposes you could call these Paul's "Halcyon Days" between what came before and what happened afterwards. Paul died of cancer a decade later at what was still a very young age.

Later some of the group from Goler Wash were back in town to entertain local youth.
Ward was upset because they had previously dispensed marijuana to some of the town's young people and had been warned about panhandling at the Crow Bar Saloon and shop lifting in the General Store.

Little Paul

A great photo Patty had never seen before: Paul, before his untimely death from cancer, in the early 90's. Claire Vaye Watkins, his oldest daughter, was only six at the time and is on his right. They were evidently enjoying a day at the hot springs in Tecopa, where Paul is said to have been the "unofficial mayor."


Claire now teaches English at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania.
