Hi Eviliz,

I don't suppose I could ask another question for a Q&A ? We'll, I have two actually, and perhaps one of them could merit a post ;-) Here goes:

Who is the man named Kim mentioned in Paul's book, "My Life With Charles Manson?" He's mentioned several times, most notably in the acid freak out story, but then Paul says he split a week after the incident, and he never saw him again. Who is Kim and where is he today?

Everyone who ran across Manson seems to agree that he had quite a persuasive manner of speaking. Advanced pimp guru con type of stuff. Well, I finally got around to watching, "Inside The Manson Gang" and was completely disappointed by his super-lame rants. Like, I forwarded the playhead it was so bad. Did his super-bad "rap" lose power over the years or was it always just babbling redneck nonsense? I want to believe the former...

While Reading "These Canyons are Full of Ghosts" last night by Emmett Harder, Patty ran across this interesting observation by Emmett about his time being acquainted with The Family in Death Valley:

"I have been condemned for saying anything kind about this episode, but some of the condemners scare me worse than Charlie did. I think I can see behind their super sanctimonious mask, an ugly, black shrouded character, viciously moaning, 'Hate, hate.'"

Uh huh. Patty has seen that dude too. And he can be as hypnotizing as ole JC himself. She will just have to be more vigiliant of his seductive ways. ;)

Discovery Park Murders Info from an Eviliz.com Reader

According to the ‘California Death Index’, James Teurrill Craig (DOB 08/23/1939) lasted till 22 Dec 1978 which is just over a month after Robert Harry Chrisman turned himself into the police. I suppose he thought that Craig would ID him anyway and gave up.

At least this offers a couple possibilities as to who the ‘she’s dangerous’ woman may have been. I thought the fact that Craig’s car was found less than two blocks from Fromme’s former attic apartment was some possible message to Squeaky, but appears to be just a coincidence. That part of town in the mid 70’s wasn’t the best of areas...Any other information about this double homicide has been difficult to find. At least for me."
So, does Farflung mean that the "She's Dangerous" comment made by Craig in the UCDMC ER referred to Della Hunt or Donna Bierer? And, why did Chrisman turn himself in in Ventura County instead of Sacramento? Were these people once "friendly" with the Manson Family?

Some questions answered, but so many more remain!

Bruce Davis drove Manson family members to Gary Hinman's home in Topanga Canyon on the date that Gary Hinman (musician) was murdered.

Bruce Davis was present when Shorty Shea (Stuntman) was murdered at Spahn Ranch. His remains were later found buried near the ranch.

Davis received a life sentence.

PAROLE RECOMMENDATION

2010 - January - 29 - Bruce Davis (67) a convicted Manson follower faced parole board panel members Robert Doyle and Booker Welch at the California Men's Colony at San Luis Obispo, California.

Michael Beckman (Attorney for Davis) "Davis acknowledged for the first time that he shared responsibility for the crimes, even though he didn't kill anyone himself. "He said, 'I was as responsible as everyone there." "Davis told the parole panel he had refused an order by Manson to chop off Shea's head but admitted slashing Shea on the shoulder. "Davis told the parole commissioners he now knows that his presence encouraged others to participate."

From previous testimony in Charles Manson's trial, nobody refused an order by Charles Manson. It is unlikely that Davis would have refused Manson anything.

Michael Beckman (Attorney for Davis) "Davis explained how he joined Manson's cult in a search for acceptance after a difficult youth. During his years in prison Davis has earned a masters degree and a doctorate in philosophy of religion. He hopes to live with his wife and daughter in Grover Beach near San Luis Obispo, where he has the possibility of a landscaping job and wants to work with a church."

Since 1972 when he was convicted, Bruce Davis has attempted to minimize his participation in the murders of Shorty Shea and Gary Hinman. While in prison Bruce Davis "found religion," married and fathered a daughter (now grown).

Now it seems he's "playing the game" by admitting his part in the crimes so that he can gain parole. It worked. He was recommended for parole. However, there are more steps to be taken that will likely take months before he can possibly breathe the free air.

Sandi Gibbons (Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office) "The decision by a two-person parole panel in the case of Bruce Davis, 67, still needs to be reviewed and approved by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. We have not made a decision as to how we're going to proceed. We do have the option of asking the governor not to grant the parole."

Schwarzenegger's office "will base its decision on public safety and other considerations."

We had discussed "X ing" here quite a few times. This is the only photo of any Family man besides Charlie who did the painful deed. Though Bruce's looks more like a swastika. That may be one of the things Bruce and Brenda did in the sewers to pass time. Carve up each others foreheads.

Maybe Mr. Hendrickson is Right?

Some time ago, Robert Hendrickson engaged us all in a conversation about how his book "Death To Pigs" might someday be made into a stage production. Some of us thought he was nuts, some of us could see how it just might come to pass. Interesting that playwrights all over the country are picking up on this idea. We have all heard about "Assassins," the play by Stephen Sondheim which "uses the premise of a murderous carnival game to produce a revue-style portrayal of men and women who attempted (successfully or otherwise) to assassinate Presidents of the United States."

Two additional plays you may not know about are currently being produced: one in Dallas, and another in LA:
