Yes Liz, both girls turned out beautiful. The son, not so much. We do though have a policy of not posting the kids so everyone will just have to believe us.
I have a question that probably isnt very important but I'll ask it anyway. On August 9th 1969 Kitty and Stephanie Schram left Barker Ranch together in the middle of the night. In a documentary they claimed they were both pregnant and likely barefoot. But they claim they walked away from the ranch and flagged a Sheriff down after a while. But the ranch is 20 miles from any paved roads. Even if they has shoes on thats a brutal walk through the CA desert. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks.
That timing is off. I notice these documentaries are often careless with details. The fact the girls were pregnant and ran away seems true enough. They were hiding from Clem and saw the sheriff at dawn.they ran to him begging for help. As I recall they didn’t get very far at all before that I believe it was fall. It was cold. But they may have bundled up. The family was raided the same morning (that’s why the sheriff was there) Kitty told the cops what she knew and they ended up arresting Sadie and Charlie. The Turks went home but Kitty had the family come get her later. She was sitting outside the hall of Justice which gave Bugliosi pause. He didn’t use her as a witness but the truth is she was the one who led the cops to the murderers. She hardly knew anything but she knew enough for Detectives Gunther and Whitely to put things together.
