Q&A

Candy and Nuts asked- In this article Clem calls himself  "Clemsonmoonstar."
Has anyone else ever heard him called by that name?

I think someone needs reading glasses. I put on mine special for you Col.
The paper reads he is "Dennis Hurst whose connection with the case has yet to be disclosed."

This is just a theory:

This pic can be found on another blog here:

Clemson Moonstar

The caption says they were "refused admittance" (to the courtroom).

Reportedly, Bugliosi put family members names on potential witness lists so they couldn't be allowed in the courtroom, not because he was going to call them as witnesses, but because he didn't want them in there causing further disrupptions.

In one of the Hendrickson films, Hendrickson says "There goes Squeaky (and I think Sandy) to go over prosecution witness lists" as Squeaky drove away in a pick up truck. Clem may have gotten wind he was on a potential witness list and showed up at court as "Clemson Moonstar" in an attempt to bluff his way past court security.

However, a similar pic can be found here:

Clemson Moonstar

The caption under that pic says they were refused admittance because all the seats were taken.

Either way, it was probably only a few months after these pics were taken that "Clemson" was arrested for the murder of Donald "Shorty" Shea.

In the Death to Pigs book, Merrick asks his name and he says "Clemstrum Moonstone Glutterhouse."
