Colonel Walker Scott

A Friend of the Blog was kind enough to share with us the obituary and death certificate of Colonel Scott, Charles Manson's birth father of record.  He also relayed to us a few tidbits related to Colonel.

About 14 months after Charlie was born Colonel and his first wife Dorothy had a son and named him after his father.  On April 19, 1937 the bastardy suit filed by Kathleen Manson in 1936 was settled in Kathleen's favor.  The Colonel was ordered to pay a modest amount child support for Charlie.  In 1940 another son was born to Dorothy and Colonel.

April 17, 1941 Dorothy Scott sued Colonel for divorce and won.  His drinking problems, abusiveness and non support issues were brought up in court.  Dorothy won custody of both boys.

Colonel Scott dies in 1954 of cirrhosis of the liver at age 44. He was survived by his second wife Sylvia and his two sons.

It’s amazing how obituaries and headstones make everyone sound so noble. Platitudes like: loving husband, diligent employee, veteran, etc. It seems like statistically, someone would have died in the middle of a contentious divorce where the spouse decides to obey the Federal truth in labeling laws, with a grave marker which reads: Here lies Dave ‘Needle-Dick’ Smith, wife beater, drunk, compulsive masturbater. Yet I’ve never seen one, the headstone that is; because we all know how many walk among us.

Funny, Farf! I also wouldn't mind being the lady at DMV where people sign-up for custom tags. Someone wanting the tag reading "Hottie" could instead be issued "Lardass" - solely at my educated discretion!

I wonder how hard it would be to see if col. Walker Sott Jr. is still alive.

I did a quick search on the Social Security Number on the death certificate and found this:

http://www.xdd.org/ssn/402/05/0160/402-05-0160

As you can see the watermark on the background indicates the identity is fake. Wow, I’m so surprised. I guess that’s one of the reasons the Social Security Death Index doesn’t list a Colonel Scott or a match for that SSN.

So he mocks me from the grave. Well I’m sure Colonel Scott, Hitler, and that chick who invented ‘Clamato’ are all having a good laugh, in their vats of boiling oil, at my expense right now.

Ha! Farf. Little does that fake person know, he is associating himself with THE Charles Manson! Don't diss Clamato, I love the stuff especially the Picante Clamato in a beer.

I'm even slower than usual today. Does the fake Social Security number mean that Colonel Scott was using a fake SS number or that the death certificate is fake? Orwhut?

DebS said...

OrWhut it means neither. That was fake information at the website that Farf linked to.

Deb,
Thank you . Now please tell me why there is a website that list so many fake identities.

The obit says he was Colonel Walter Scott, who predeceased his father, Walter Scott. The death certificate says Colonel Walker Scott, whose father is listed as Walker Scott. So my initial question is finally answered: his father's first name was actually Colonel, this was not his rank in the military. And his middle name was either Walter or Walker. I tend to believe the obit version, since a family member usually writes them. But it bugs me when legal documents have errors.

toocrowdedinthishouse- Colonel's middle name was Walker. In this case it was a misprint in the newspaper. Colonel's father's first name was Walker according to 2 or 3 census records.

----------------------------

I'm not sure! I started to research the purpose of the websites that do that but kept hitting on websites that were offering fake ID's. After the research I did on that spanking deal with Bobby my junk mail keeps filling up with the naughtiest emails ever so I decided to cool it on the fake ID situation. If for some reason the cops ever confiscated my computer they would have a field day looking at my hard drive and I'd be explaining myself for a month of Sundays.

Dunno why you said "birth father of record" cuz Charles's birth certificate lists William Manson as Charles's father.

Deb,
Thanks again. The only thing I could think of, is that places that sell restricted merchandise might look up a youthful customer's ID to see whether it's been faked.

I said that because of the bastardy suit, A.C. It was determined by a court of law that Colonel was Charlie's birth father.
I am adopted myself and my amended BC has my adoptive parents names on it but that doesn't make them my birth parents. My original BC says I am Baby Girl Edwards but like Charlie I consider my name to be the one my amended BC says I am. Can't have it both ways.

I could only wonder what Charles Manson's head stone would read.
Hear lies Charles Manson, a mentor for up and coming killers, had no moral or faith, was uneducated got as far as elementary school. Came from an abusive home.
May his life of hell keep re-curring and not let his soul rest.
He was eveybodys lover, boyfriend, leader and
Daddy to many children.
