Filippo Tenerelli aka Raymond Petrozzi?

Filippo Tenerelli (officially a suicide victim, unrelated to the Manson case)

Now compare Tenerelli's pics above to that of one Raymond Petrizzo, from the collection of Family mugshots:

Features that are similar:

--Tenerelli's eyes were slightly 'cock-eyed,'* noticeable in the above two photos. And so is the guy pictured in the bottom photo, in the same way.
*aka 'Strabismus'  [Strabismus is a condition in which the eyes do not point in the same direction.]

--dark hair, parted on the same side

--deep scar, noticeable on the left side of Tenerelli's face in the middle photo.  Similar depression in the cheek of "Petrizzo."

--nose is exactly the same

--prominent eyebrows

--prominent, well-rounded forehead

Could it be the same person?   If they are, then it of course means that Tenerelli was a Manson Family associate, which makes it much more likely that he was murdered.   It also means the various investigative agencies have a lot of 'splainen to do.  oo-ee-oo!

In the second Tenerelli photo where his mouth is slightly agape, it looks like his left incisor tooth is long like a fang, but in the Petrozzi photo, I don't see the same incisor tooth. But I guess it could have been smoothed down or changed pretty easily. Or maybe it was a weird angle.

This looks familiar. Is it a continuance of something that's been on this blog before?

Hairline is lower with widows peak in second photo. Individual in second photo also appears to be about a decade older than the individual in the first photo.

Starviego, this article reminds me of the interesting article on “Karate Dave” that you authored.

Wonder if Carlos is around to run face recognition software?

Continuance was the wrong word. Let me try again:

The information in this post looks familiar. Is it a CONTINUATION of a previous post on this blog? Maybe I saw it somewhere else.

Starviego did a post on Karate Dave comparing him to an undercover cop named Jarrett. That might be what you're thinking of.

Maybe referring to a previous post on Tenerelli?

No.

They look different to me, not TOO much difference but enough to where I don't think they're the same person or even related

Lol a decade? Come on

Applying a little visual biometrics is the way to 'solve' these kinds of things. I look for differences to disprove, rather than similarities to match.

For example, trace an imaginary straight line across the face from the bottom of the ear lobes in each photo, and compare how distant that line is from the nose. There is a significant difference, even with a small allowance for a very slight difference in camera angles.

There are other less obvious differences - jaw width, eye spacing etc. But the relative ear 'height' on the head is a dead giveaway.

Maybe it will still be available when Leslie gets out. At least she would know her way around the kitchen.

The strabismus, the cheek scar, the nose--to me these are all pretty distinctive markers that make the case. Any difference in the photos of Tenerelli and Petrozzi are thus probably due to differences in the camera, the lighting, the film speed, etc.

Let's take a poll.

--If you think they are most likely the same person, enter a '1'

--If you think they might be the same person but there is a lot of doubt-in other words you can't make a decision either way-- enter a '2'

--If you think they are most likely NOT the same person, enter a '3'

I'm worse than awful at recognizing faces so I should probably not even vote.

The two top photos look like the same person to me and I think the ones of the skinny guy below them could be the same man before maturing and gaining weight.Dean Martin in his prime and old Dean Martin with the thin face come to mind.

For what my vote is worth, I say 1.

Interesting way to take a poll. You state the reasons for why you think YOUR opinion is correct (and the others wrong) and then put it at the top of the choices. You should work for Trump, in whatever racket he tries next.

I vote 3. Absolutely not the same person.

From a 2013 multi-part Tenerelli post on this very blog (possibly authored and researched by Deb?)

No de facto mention of Fillipo having a sister....buuuuuut...

"After the 2013 posts ran about Tenerelli I heard from a female relative of Filippo. She explained that Filippo's mother was devastated that the authorities found Filippo's cause of death to be suicide."

I am only guessing here...but, I'm reading "sister" between the lines here.

I sure hope that I bookmarked the info/pages that I came across during that Google rabbit hole...

If we could get ahold of a sister she might be able to make the ID.

Deep Speculation:

Tenerelli is alleged to have had a noticeable Italian accent. IF Tenerelli and Petrizzo are the same person, the first question is why did he take up the fake name "Petrizzo?" Did someone deliberately choose an Italian surname to account for his accent? In the back of my mind I keep thinking he may have been playing some kind of undercover role.

Here is the website from the nephew,Cosimo Giovine:

https://cosimogiovine.com/2016/05/26/maries-fear-by-lucia-tenerelli/
I grew up with stories. Immigrant stories. Stories of my grandfather “jumping ship” to get into the US, of my father and uncle driving Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles in their 1955 Pontiacs, of my mom being raised by nuns in a convent in post-WWII southern Italy, of my Uncle Filippo being murdered by members of the Manson Family in Bishop, CA in 1969. All true stories.

Even if the two pics are of different people (which they are, sorry), it doesn't alter the possibility that Tenerelli may have been murdered by the Family, right?

Petrozzi is just some other guy that spent time with them.

You don't have to do that to be a Family victim.

Sure, Tenerelli could have been murdered anyway, but if he really was Petrozzi that puts him in much closer contact, with more opportunities to get on Charlie's bad side, which goes to motive.

"Petrozzi is just some other guy that spent time with them."

The mugshot photo and Lt. Deemer's list of family associates have a whole bunch of names that were never interviewed and have never come to fore since that time. If they did, they could possible help answer many of the questions.

On November 27, 1969 another search was done on Barker Ranch in Inyo Country; searchers this time included a 14-man contingent from the LAPD, there to search for the wanted Tex Watson and Bruce Davis.

From the book Desert Shadows by Bob Murphy, Death Valley Park Ranger, pg105:

"One of the Los Angeles deputies mentioned Tenerellie, who had been found shot in a Bishop motel room on October 2(1969). The deputies had learned that Tenerellie was known to the Family; they called him Dago."

What's also interesting that it was the LAPD that found this link, and not the Inyo County investigators. This would mean that there was a pre-existing relationship between Tenerelli and the Mansonoids back in LA.
