'Beautiful girls'. Evidently he didn't stay around long enough to clock the STDs and dental issues. Crikey! They look like a bunch of skagheads to me. Nevertheless, an interesting interview. How they live amongst us...

Just don't let "Tex" or "Katie" out. Those two had a little too much "fun" slicing Gibby Folger to ribbons, and of course Tex for the rest of the Cielo murders. I had no problem with Lulu's release, but that should be it.

"I heard a story from Jack Jones... we were sitting in a make-up room not too long ago and he was telling us a story.
He had come home from a gig one night--this is obviously right around the time the murders happened--and he went into his house and he realized that someone had broken into his house. So he called the police; the police came, and he was actually insulted because they didn't take anything, and he was thinking "what the heck's wrong with my house, nobody took anything. The only thing they took was my cowboy hat." ... A couple of years later he's reading one the books written by one of the attorneys--I don't think its Bugliosi but I can't remember the guy's name. He's reading in this paragraph, and it talks about Tex Watson was saying he broke into.. Jack Jones' house. And as he broke in, Jack Jones happened upon them. So they went into the back. And the police came and they said they were waiting to see if the police were to leave at any particular time soon, they would have done to Jack Jones what they did to the LaBiancas.

Q: So Tex was there to kill Jack Jones?
A: uh huh ...

Q: So you're saying they were still there as the cops were there?
A: Yes, as he was in his own house...

Q: He just wanted to kill Jack Jones?
A: I guess...

Q: Jack Jones told you this?
A: Yes

Apparently the break-in at Jones' house did occur right before TLB, although details of this burglary are scant. When? Where? Does anybody remember a book where Tex claimed they were there to kill Jones?

Jones allegedly lived at 3965 Deervale Dr Sherman Oaks, California, in 1969.

Ed Sanders article in the Los Angeles Free Press Vol. 7 No. 45 Issue # 329 Nov. 6, 1970
Vern Plumlee is famous in Mansonian circles in that, armed with a sawed-off shotgun, he creepy crawled the homes of Jack Jones, the star, and Marvin Miller in July of 1969. From the home of Jack Jones, creepy crawled at 2AM even though the lights were on, the c.-c.-ers took only a cowboy hat.

I thought I knew Manson lore pretty thoroughly but never heard about the Jack Jones episode. Wow, that’s damn creepy! I believe he was married to Jill St. John at the time, so that would have been one helluva headline! Thank God the cops outstayed Tex and whatever nefarious company he was keeping that night. That was about the time that Tex and some of the other male family members were prowling around Chatsworth at night looking for houses to “creepy-crawl”. These were the preliminary excursions that served as home invasion “practice sessions” and, arguably, a preamble to mass murder. Jones may have lucked out on this occasion because, perhaps, they were not quite ready yet to ply their trade in celebrity massacre. Apparently Juan Flynn accompanied them on one such outing as a possible “henchman” recruit but failed the test. He had no interest in killing.
