This Day in Manson History - Karl Stubbs is Murdered

Retired Spiritualist & Author Karl Stubbs murdered in Olancha, CA this day November 15, 1968 -  43 years ago. Many theorize that Tex and two of the Manson Girls are responsible. What do you think?

The fact that the girls laughed as the boy continued to kick him sure does make this smell of the Manson Family in my opinion.

Plus the fact that they were using the nearby Hannum Ranch as a staging area cements it more.

The day Tex has his parole hearing. Oh, Irony.

I'd like to also add that Bobby Beausoleil had two white cars registered to him during this time period. Not sure why they'd have Indiana plates, but they could have been stolen or borrowed from another car.
One of Bobby's cars (1960 Chevy) was registered in Oregon.

Why should it be the Family. There is no credible record of anyone laughing, only Susan's idiot boasts, and Leslie's. Shock was the main reaction.
there were lots of hippie killings. Breaking down civil society and dropping out and turning on and all that means also steadily losing restraints. Susan's interview on Tom Snyder, about the cumulative effect of acid is very interesting she talks about the moral damage it does, how by breaking the boundaries of imagination, you also shift your moral code, although you don't realise it. Things start to become possible. Murder starts to be just one with life.
I can think of so many things I have read about the neglect of children in these communes, allowing them, like Dianne, to take part in drugs and sex, or leaving them to fend for themselves. Just general things that usually wouldn't be done, the code would restrain it. None of you would leave a 7 year old alone in a house while you go off on a road trip. Yet Neal Cassady's friends did. Breaking down these boundaries in the name of freedom: it isn't a good idea. The square world is square for a good reason, to keep the caveman tied up.

Was there a lot of other hippie-type, young people wandering in/out of those desert towns back then when this happened? I have ALWAYS thought it was them, because Tex hid out in Olancha after the TLB murders with Snake. They had ties to the area. In all likeliness, you bet your sweet a** it was them!

I agree, Ann. I believe that Tex killed Karl Stubbs. I believe Pat and probably Susan were present. I believe The Family killed Marina Habe, Clida Dulaney, Nancy Warren, and many others. To all of those that think our publishing of recent Family pics is wrong... well think again. We keep them in the news. We won't bend on that, ever.

Ok I was a friend of Karl.
when this went down his nurse told police that she saw 2 men there on that day, He would not let her come in to check on him.
One was Tex but she said she would not testify. Im old and would rather go to jail, than get killed.

Yeah Unknown, that's right. It was Ma Castner who identified the man in Stubbs house as Tex. We lived 'across the street' from him in Olancha terms.
