'Manson Girls' quietly starts production

Lensing begins nearly a year after Sundance announcement

"Manson Girls," focusing on the female followers of cult leader Charles Manson, has quietly started production nearly a year after the project was announced at Sundance.

Susanna Lo is producing via her Slomotion Studios and directing from her own script. Cast includes Taryn Manning as Sadie Atkins; Tania Raymonde as Leslie Van Houten; Monica Keena as Squeaky Fromme; Stella Maeve as Linda Kasabian; Estella Warren as Catherine Share; Chad Faust as Tex Watson; Ron Jeremy as a porn director; Bill Moseley as Manson.

Judy Fox, Brett Cranford and Taryn Manning are also producing "Manson Girls," which focuses on the period leading up to the 1969 murders of nine people. Manson and three followers were convicted in 1971 in the slayings.

Lo told Variety that she's aiming to illustrate how and why the girls came under Manson's command.

"The girls were all very talented but it was a very seductive time," she said. "We really don't want to sensationalize the story any further than it already has been. I've always been fascinated by how the girls came under the spell of this strange, manipulative man.

The article also says Lo is aiming to complete production in time for the Cannes Film Festival. (What a coincidence! I received my invitation to Cannes just yesterday). Next year the Cannes Independent Film Festival week will be May 16-27. Maybe we will really see this one?

Why do people think I avoid the dna? I've done everything I can to get dna. Has anyone stopped to think how hard it might be to get dna from charley manson? Ill tell you what- anyone who thinks its so easy u go ahead and get me that dna and I promise I won't disapoint you. Why you are at it call a lab and ask them if they can test with hair older than 10 dAys and may or may not contain the folicle attached. Then call the prison and ask them if prisoners are allowed to lick their own envelopes. Then ask what would happen to you if you were caught smuggling out items that you think have dna on them out of the prison. There is a lot to consider. matthew roberts

Sharon Tate Jewelry for sale from grisly murder.

Murdered actress Sharon Tate's engagement ring - the one she was said to be wearing when she was stabbed to death by the Manson Family can now be yours, TMZ has learned. If you're willing to drop at least $10,000.

According to the auction house hocking the ring,Tate's husband director Roman Polanski removed it from her finger when he was identifying her body at the morgue. He proposed to her with it in 1967.

For those who forget -- Sharon and her unborn child were brutally murdered in 1969 by followers of Charles Manson Police were unable to determine a motive.

The ring hits the auction block on November 30th at GottaHaveRockandRoll.com along with a ton of other Hollywood and music memorabilia.

UPDATE: There are multiple stories that it was Roman Polanski's agent William Tennant and not Roman himself who identified Tate's body at the morgue. Roman was not in the country at the time.

Sharon Tate "engagement ring" hitting the auction block next week was NOT taken off the actresses' dead hand after she was murdered because she was NOT wearing any rings at the time of her death,this according to Sharon's sister Debra.

Debra tells TMZ the ring featured in an upcoming auction on GottaHaveRockndRoll.com DID belong to the actress but she gave it away to a family friend long before she was killed by the Manson family in 1969.

Debra tells us the ring was not an "official" engagement ring but rather an "unofficial symbol of her relationship" with Roman Polanski. Debra says, "The ring was not Sharon's style and she never wore it." Debra says Polanski later gave Sharon an "official" engagement ring - a gold and diamond band "which she treasured."

Despite the auction house's claim, Debra is adamant Sharon was NOT wearing ANY rings on her finger at the time of her death adding, "Because Sharon was pregnant, she couldn't fit any rings on her finger."

Sharon was two weeks away from her due date when she was murdered. So far, no comment from the auction site.

Why, streaming the 1973 Andrew Lloyd Weber "Jesus Christ, Superstar" of course! Do y'all remember the opening scene when the whole crew gets off of a big, Manson-esque bus? The similarities are really creepy. This could be The Family, save for the one dude wearing a Coca-Cola T-shirt. Damn, they were even doing product placement way back then!

James Mason is maybe as close as anyone could get to being a genuine lifelong Nazi. Having started out as a teenage supporter of Richard Nixon, Barry Goldwater and George Wallace, in 1966 his life changed forever when he was loaned a book about extremist politics (Extremism USA) and liked what he read there about the Nazis. At the age of only 14 he joined the miniscule American Nazi Party (ANP). Sometime after that, still aged only 16, he ran away from his home in Ohio to join the ANP headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. There he lived for a number of years, working alongside the Ku Klux Klan to organize attacks on leftists and civil rights and anti-war protesters as well as helping with the general running of America's main (albeit tiny) Fascist party. He was admitted into full membership of the party on his eighteenth birthday. Here it was too that he was introduced to the ideas of one of his great heroes, George Lincoln Rockwell, the founder and leader of the ANP who had defiantly spurned bourgeois opinion by openly embracing Nazism and the Swastika (thus, in Rockwell's words crossing "the threshold of anger"). Shortly after renaming the party the National Socialist White People's Party (NSWPP) and adopting the slogan 'White Power', Rockwell was killed by a fellow Nazi in 1967 and the ANP was taken over by Matt Koehl, after which it splintered into a number of groups amidst of the usual welter of denunciations, accusations and counter-accusations familiar to any student of the extreme right.

Well my friends, I tried my hardest to find some info something, anything about "The Oder of the Rainbow."
